Customer Reviews

Overall rating: 4.8 / 5 from 69 reviews.

Nordsternpark Gelsenkirchen Cushion – A Piece of Ruhr Area History for Your Home

Bring the unique flair of the Ruhr area directly to your sofa with this stylish decorative cushion dedicated to the fascinating Nordsternpark in Gelsenkirchen. Where the Nordstern colliery once mined coal, a green oasis of industrial culture now stretches out, harmoniously connecting nature and industrial history. This cushion brings the striking silhouette of the famous headframe, crowned by Markus Lüpertz's monumental Hercules sculpture, right into your home. Its detailed design is reminiscent of balmy summer evenings by the Rhine-Herne Canal and walks across the boldly curved double-arch bridges. It is the perfect accessory for anyone who appreciates this industrial monument and the vast park landscape of the former Federal Horticultural Show.

Whether as a cushion cover or a complete cushion including a cozy filling – this home accessory perfectly captures the rough yet warm soul of Gelsenkirchen. It makes an excellent gift for proud "Revierkinder" (children of the Ruhr area) who carry the structural transformation of the Ruhrpot in their hearts. Let yourself be whisked away to the historical brick facades and the vibrant cultural landscape of the park while relaxing on this comfortable cushion. The harmonious colors of the design reflect the contrast between steel witnesses of the past and the blooming nature of the grounds. Bring a piece of true local pride and the unmistakable charm of the Nordsternpark directly into your living room.
